Brooklyn SolarWorks is a full service solar design and installation company focusing specifically on meeting the solar needs of New York City residents. Our team is dedicated to providing the best solar experience in the industry. Our team has over nine years of installation experience in NYC and have project managed and installed over 2 megawatts of solar in the Northeast.
Our work at past companies, both big and small, revealed to us the need for a New York City based company with a proficiency in navigating the NYC permitting process and the knowledge and engineering capability to address NYC’s unique housing stock, both flat and pitched roofs alike. With this in mind we partnered with Situ Studio, a Brooklyn based architecture firm. Together we have designed a beautiful solar canopy for flat roofs that meets NYC fire code, allows for larger systems, provides shading and leaves the roof open for recreation and repair.
All of our solar systems are engineered to sustain winds of 110 mph and snow loads of 30 lbs per square foot. In addition, our installations are backed by a 10 year workmanship warranty and an industry leading performance guarantee. We are also pleased to offer the most advanced energy monitoring and management systems on the market, allowing customers to remotely access their circuit level demand monitoring and solar production. No other solar company is offering this level of extensive monitoring.
Brooklyn SolarWorks uses the best equipment available and as a SunPower dealer we have access to the most efficient panels on the market. With over six years in residential solar finance and multiple lease and loan providers we have both the knowledge and the tools to find the best way to finance your solar system.
Throughout the entire installation process and long after the system is up and running we will be there to support you, whether it is a tax inquiry or a question about your system's production. We are a dedicated group of solar professionals, who work and live in Brooklyn. Our CEO helped guide the first Solarize Brooklyn initiative in 2013, and many of our employees have volunteered time to advance solar in NYC.
